Rivers of blood has been perhaps one of the most controversial actions carried out in promotion of veganism in Spain (not many actions have been done promoting veganism - or even vegetarianism- in Spain). It was done by the group
Igualdad Animal / Animal equality . A street in the center of Madrid, was literally covered with artifical "blood" as a way of calling attention on the enourmous amount of death and suffering our every day lifes hide.
The action is strong and made people who walked by that morning stop (and maybe think), but it was also thought of as a way of using the powerfull images it resulted in (photos and video) to promote the idea tha non-human animals don´t exist to feed us.
Probably if the blood of non-human animals that die for human fault were all put together, it wouldn't cover a street..it would drown us all.
