Hagsharlotsheroines.com is a writing project with a focus on work centred around women (though it's important to stress that we have male writers as members too). They are running a competition which is a great opportunity for new writers to get their work seen by some big names in the industry and, for the winners, to have their work published on a site with a wide readership and network. We cannot pay money for your stories Once a story is in our database, you are able to edit it online at any time, just by logging in. We will only display your username against stories, no other details will be revealed.
- How do you receive feedback?
- We have put a feedback system into the site, where readers may send you (hopefully) constructive criticism, or (even more hopefully), generous praise. This system hides your e-mail address to keep the feedback 'secure'. Readers may also score/rate your stories and the average story rating will be displayed against the title.
- Submit and read the stories for free.
- This site isn't here to make big money, it's mostly a labour of love (of fiction). So we won't charge you a membership fee, or anything to read as many stories as you wish.
Who runs this writing website?
- All run by by Krispy in his spare time
- This site was conceived, designed, coded, and glued together by 'Krispy' www.kristianbrown.co.uk, in my spare time. My normal job is a senior systems developer (C, Forte, and now Java J2EE), but I have been creating websites for the last 13 years. The current bunch are created using a mixture of html (in dreamweaver), css, and PHP code - against MySql database. I do this for fun, and sharing a love of books, reading books, and helping people.
Story submission policy
We accept short story submissions in many categories. If you feel your story should be in a fiction category we do not have, please suggest one, and if we agree, we will create that category in our in our custom written content management software.!
We do accept stories of an adult nature (including erotic stories), but reserve the right to edit or reject submissions that we feel breaks the boundaries of taste we will accept. This is completely our discretion, but note we will refuse stories that are of an illegal sexual nature (illegal adult themes such as drug taking ARE acceptable though). We do ask that no-one under 18 enter or read stories in the 'adult' or 'erotic' categories of the site. We cannot be held responsible if underage readers enter that section against our advice. By clicking on any of think links of this website, you agree not to hold the owners responsible for any upset, shock, or negative effects.
