MakeMe! is dedicated to
those who love fabric and
delight in the rich history of
textiles. We weave the past
into the present with our
collection of original vintage and
modern fabrics from around
the world. Our vintage selection
boasts over 700 bolts of fabric
from the heyday of the
American textile industry.
MakeMe! is located in Barnardsville,
NC, and central to the "textile
belt" where the great mills of
the past centuries were in
operation. We have been
fortunate to find intact large
caches of unused bolts of original
vintage fabric from the 1950's
through the 1970's. Finding all
that great vintage fabric is what set
the idea for MakeMe! in motion.
After 15 years as a designer,
owner Lisa Shoemaker made
the move from producer to "sourceress". This site is the
result of discerning eye and
many hours and miles spent
on the great fabric hunt. At
MakeMe!, we appreciate beauty
and the beautifully made. We
share with you the giddy thrill
of finding absolutely wonderful
textiles to inspire and propel
our creative lives.

yummy faux fur. Many of
our prints are vintage inspired.
Also featured are natural fibers
such as silk brocade, organic
cotton and linen.
