KWOS has finally moved to a new server. This of course means that people who go to http://kwos.yoyoing.com won't find KWOS there. Instead you'll find some other site. Getting the old address forwarded here is not likely going to happen so tell others and update your links. :) Thanks.

KWOS has been relaunched with a new design. It is accessible from kwos.ca. If you find any errors and link problems please email me.

Back when KWOS was just starting out, there were no yo-yo sites with videos and pictures. That's why I created this site. I wanted to teach the basics and I'm so glad that this site does that. Every day there is someone picking up a yo-yo for the first time and they'll probably go on the Web and type "yoyo tricks" in Google. And the first hit will be ... You guessed it.

"I want to teach the world how to yo-yo."
The fling of the string opens up many possibilities. Much like life, it takes patience and determination to succeed in the art of yo-yoing.

My first interest in yo-yo's came about when I was 11 years old. My friend and I had some tickets to a local kids variety TV show called "Switchback." It was hosted by Stu Jefferies. That day they had a professional yo-yo'er named, Harvey Lowe. I was amazed at what he could do with a yo-yo and decided I would get one. The next night I got my parents to buy me a Canada Games Pro Yo-Yo and a tricks book. That was the beginning.
