"Having looked last year at Sage, nice price but you'll also need these modules....... Then there were a few others with a similar price and weird terminology I gave up looking and stayed with excel.
The reason I made the switch was that I could not face creating pages of formulae to record my sales figures and getting these to reconcile every month. Also I want to grow the business and hopefully vat registration will become an issue, so best to get the processes in place before hand.
The main benefit of KashFlow is that it doesn't do anything initially. I simply record all my transactions using the bank tab, this is a straight switch over from excel. Later I found an article about nominal codes and set these up, then I simply went back through my bank transactions and changed the transactions to the desired type.
KashFlow speaks in plain english and allows you to use it at whatever level you are comfortable with. Also the fact that it is online means you don't have to worry about your IT playing up or being stolen, you can use any pc and carry on.
