"KALIMBA"
African Musical Instrument
It's so Easy To
Play... Now Anyone Can be Making
Beautiful Music In 10 minutes!
Dear Friend,
If
you’ve ever wanted to play a musical instrument but...
Didn’t have the Time, Patience and/or Money to spend on:
YEARS
of Expensive Music Lessons...
Learning How to Read Music...
Hours and Hours of
tedious practice… then Keep Reading.
I am going to tell you...
How You Can Create a Beautiful, Original Song with
Chords That Harmonize.
And you can do it within 10 minutes of
playing this special... African Musical Instrument for
the very 1st Time!
Sounds
like a dream, doesn't it? Making Beautiful Music Immediately!
Well, because of what Dr. Hugh Tracey has
developed... It is now a Dream come True!
Hugh Tracey is the inventor of
the...
"Kalimba"
The term "Kalimba" has become part of our
vernacular through common use... but "Kalimba(TM)"
is actually a registered trademark name
(Patent Nos. 22,565, 60/3777, 900,796, 68/7040).
The Hugh Tracey Kalimba is shaped like a
small wooden box with a
circular hole in the middle (most
models). It
has thin metal strips or
tongues which are the notes (called tines), that are
of varying lengths.
The tines are plucked downward with your thumbs using your
thumbnails.
The longer the length of the tine, the lower the pitch of the note.
The longest tine, and therefore the lowest note is always in the
middle.
Unlike other keyboard instruments with the lowest
note on the far left,
the Hugh Tracey Kalimba notes are tuned in an alternating
left-right
manner starting from the center note.
The benefit of this alternate left-right note arrangement on
the
Hugh Tracey Kalimba is
that..
You Start Sounding Good Right Away!
Due to the unique configuration of the Hugh
Tracey Alto Kalimba -
Any 2 adjacent notes make a melodic sounding chord
that harmonizes.
That means that any 2 adjacent-note combination will sound
good.
As a matter of fact, if you swipe your thumb across
any adjacent 2, 3, 4 or
more note combination, you
create pleasing, pretty sounding
chords that are harmonized.
No other instrument on the
planet has this unique configuration!
Try playing 2 adjacent notes on a piano, guitar, or any other
instrument...
You get harsh sounding, discordant notes. It just doesn't sound good.
That's one of the major reasons that people don't stick with playing
a musical instrument... because it doesn't sound good in the
beginning.
The Hugh Tracey Kalimba doesn't have those discordant chord patterns
on adjacent notes so it
always makes chords that
are harmonized
and blend well with each other.
Now anyone, even YOU or your children
can...
Play a Musical Instrument and Make Music...
Even
if you Can't Read Music and Don't Want to learn to
read music.
Even
if you are tone deaf, can't sing a lick and have 2 left thumbs.
Even
if you have no previous musical experience...
Beginners
Can Start Making Beautiful Sounding Tones Right Away...
To
create a piece of music or a song, all you need to do
is...
Start plucking any 2 adjacent notes with your thumbs, anywhere on the
face of the Kalimba.
There is only 1 exception - the bottom note. But just pluck
the bottom note
by itself, and it harmonizes with all the other
2-note chords!
You can begin or end any song on that bottom note! - It's
the root note.
That's All You Need To Know To Start Making Beautiful Music Right Away!
1) Pluck any 2-adjacent notes
2) Pluck the bottom note by itself
3) End your song on the bottom or top right note.
So simple, even...
A 6 year old child can pick it up and start
playing immediately. Give the Gift of Music to a child and watch
their face light up.
All You have to do to start Making Music in 10 minutes is...
Move your thumbs around the instrument, plucking any
adjacent 2 note
combinations.
Vary your rhythm. These 2 note combinations create melodic
chords
that harmonize and create mellow, soothing, pretty
sounding music.
You
will be amazed at how good you sound!
Finish
off your composition by plucking the root note
(either the top right or the Bottom Note, or both if
you like).
In less than 10 minutes you
have just created your first song!
And You Start Sounding Good Right Away - Hooray for YOU!

of a rare, indigenous African
hardwood...
An
exotic, resonant African hardwood called -
Kiaat!
After
experimenting with several woods, Hugh Tracey finally found the wood
best-suited for his Kalimba instruments... Kiaat.
Kiaat
wood gives the Hugh Tracey Kalimba a rich,
organic beauty.
Kiaat
wood
gives the Hugh Tracey Kalimba a soothing, pleasant tonality
and a full and natural, resonant acoutic sound.
*WARNING*
Other brand Kalimbas are made from rosewood or gourds, not kiaat.
The Hugh Tracey Kalimba is the only
Kalimba made from kiaat wood.
The Kiaat wood gives the Hugh Tracey Kalimba a Clarity and Uniformity
of Tone - Unmatched by any other brand of Kalimba.
"Fall in Love" all over again with
beautiful music.
Every Hugh Tracey Kalimba is Hand-Crafted
by a Master-Craftsman
in Grahamstown, South Africa. Painstaking
care is devoted to the
selection of woods and even the texture of the finishing varnishes.
When preparing the kiaat wood to create the Hugh Tracey
Kalimbas,
literally thousands of wood samples are searched for acoustical
soundness
and to be visually pleasing.
This is no assembly line operation.
While
the body of The Hugh Tracey Kalimba is made from kiaat wood...
The notes (tines) are made from an imported European
spring steel.
The
European spring steel tines have been designed to yield the exact
amount of tension required for maximum volume without
being too stiff
and hurting your fingers.
The quality engineering of the bridge mechanism allows this
finely-crafted
instrument to stay in tune, even when 'jamming' hard-core with a
band.
AMI - (African Musical Instruments)...
